"I NEED your input, insights and ideas." There, I said it. I (we) really do need them. Why? This ministry expansion for Adults 55+ has two very straight-forward and measurable goals: (1) engage our adults 55+ in more significant ministry opportunities, (both within and outside our walls) and (2) create a ministry environment where they can invite and influence their unsaved friends and neighbors in this age group. To make these two things happen, and I believe God really wants us to make these happen, we need people who are willing to simply share their thoughts and experiences. To help make that happen as quickly and effectively as possible, we've scheduled a Boomers and Beyond Ministry Expansion Brainstorming Meeting on Monday, September 28th, 7:00pm-8:15pm here at the church.Please plan on participating and just as importantly, please also personally invite a few friends in this age group who attend BCC to be part of the process. We will be looking for ideas, big or small, that we can implement immediately, as well as explore a bit of what we would like to see this area of ministry look like 6 months/a year/3 years from now.
One final comment, and this is very important. All I want from people at this meeting is their thoughts and ideas, that’s it, because that’s what’s most needed and most important at this point. No one will be asked to volunteer or commit to anything other than praying for this ministry going forward. I promise!
So, mark your calendars and spread the word. The more ideas the better, and everyone's matter, including yours.
